Message From The Business Owner
A J Dorse Accounting opened for business in July 2011. The business started with me and my brother Jono in the spare room at Jono’s place in Lambton. New team members have been added since then with the business moving to Elermore Vale and then to Edgeworth. In 2019 Jono made the decision to leave (on good terms) and pursue work in other areas. I look forward to continuing to grow the business to meet the needs of our diverse client base.
I enjoy working with a range of clients including those purchasing their first investment property or starting a business. Helping charities and small business streamline their financial processes is also a rewarding part of my work. Outside of work I enjoy soccer, having played over twenty years in our church team. My wife Louise and our four kids enjoy life in Barnsley, being part of our local church and being involved in junior soccer. On a rainy day we enjoy a good board game with my kids now regularly beating me 😊.

Aims
Our aims are reflected in our business principles. We believe that small business accounting and individual taxation are areas where clients deserve to meet with someone who is willing to take the time and effort to get to know their personal situation and needs. More than just producing figures, our business will focus on meeting our clients, listening and responding to their individual needs, and working with them to deliver a complete professional service.
These aims are met in a small business setting with team members who enjoy dealing with people, and who have the combined level of skills and experience to deliver that professional service.

I am a chartered accountant and have been with A J Dorse Accounting since October 2019 coming with over 20 years of accounting experience. I feel privileged to work here and my aim is to be part of the future success and growth of the firm. I enjoy dealing with clients and have a good knowledge of small businesses in particular companies and audits.
I spend the weekends with my children building great memories together. We are committed and involved in the life of our Church. I love playing sport in particular soccer, bush walking and when I have free time just resting.

With over 20 years of business experience, the majority with large corporate organisations managing financial accounting and taxation teams, I left full-time employment in 2018 to spend more time with my two young boys and commenced with A J Dorse Accounting on a part-time basis. I have extensive accounting, business, and taxation experience and look forward to assisting you.
Whilst delivering a clean set of financials to a client and meeting ATO compliance obligations really floats my boat, I also enjoy my food and wine (Barossa Valley), cricket, AFL (Port Adelaide), and motorsport.
I hold bachelor degrees in Commerce and Corporate Finance as well as a Masters in Teaching. I am a Chartered Accountant and a previous Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia.

Here at A J Dorse Accounting I look after many of our sole traders, partnerships and building and construction clients. I also see clients for individual tax during our busy tax season. I started work for A J Dorse Accounting in 2016 as a junior accountant and have grown in knowledge over the past several years to now being a senior accountant. We have a great work atmosphere and Ashley our boss is very kind, approachable and understanding.
In my spare time and at work I love to share my faith in Jesus Christ with people and how he has changed my life. I also love spending every other moment with my husband, family and church family, either helping them, playing games , going for walks or just chatting.
